Depart Boston: Tues May 19th

Depart Penang: Mon May 25th

The costs per paddler is as follows:

1. Airfare, estimated between $1,100 - 1,600. We are researching airfare will email all those signed up with any deals.

2. Lunch and dinner for each day. On race day, a lunch box will be provided. The exchange rate between the US dollar and Malaysian currency (ringgit) is approximately 1 US dollar to 3.5 Malaysian ringgit. Malaysia is a very affordable travel destination i.e. food will be cheap!

3. Paddlers will NOT need to pay for race fees, hotel or transportation to and from the airport -- these will be taken care of by the festival.

Sign-up for this race is first-come first-served! Please email Nikki P. immediately if you can go this race. We really need to know ASAP if we have enough people committed to do this.

Since it's first-come first-served, those who book their airfare and have the proper travel documents required to enter Malaysia get a spot on the boat. Here is a link to the visa requirements: http://www.malaysia.sawadee.com/visa.htm. U.S. and Canadian citizens do not require a visa.

We need 18 paddlers, 1 steerer and 1 drummer for a mixed team. There is a minimum requirement of 8 women and a maximum of 12 women.
